Maggie Hubbard // b. 1991, Chicago, IL

Maggie Hubbard is a practicing artist from Chicago and holds a BS in Illustration from Indiana Wesleyan University (2013). Her work has been featured in various exhibitions throughout the Midwest and Pacific Northwest. Hubbard’s work explores questions of grief and collective experience through finding intangible characteristics in mundane objects and spaces.

I choose to uplift the mundane aspects of my days – suburbia, grief, the middle class, monotony. It is out of these categories that I aim to create an honest reproduction that may allow the viewer to embrace whatever could be resting in the ordinary.
